1K4AKCTom Hatter>1-5 WattsSB-40A14100101000012800Used my K1 on 40 meters outside on a card table. Ant. was an end-fed Zepp vertical with a quarter-wave matching section of 300-ohm twin lead, hanging at about 60 feet from a pine tree. The tree sits on a mountain top at 1300 ft. A ZM-2 tuner was used. It was fun, but I nearly froze. 4.8 watts.
2KN1HJohn>250mW - 1 WattABA1310450005680Tough to find a spot with FISTS, AWA, SKCC and several 80M nets all active at once. It was fun to dig out my home brew tx and rx and operate at 700mw.
3W2JEKdon>1-5 WattsABA1320550005665operated on 20, 40 and 80 m with my Oak Hills OHR-500 at 5 watts.
The rules say 5K points per band with homebrew xcvr. Not many QRP ops on. Need better publicity. Built the OHR-500 myself and wound all 37 toroids. 72 and 73 Happy Holidays Don W2JEK
